Senior Vice President of Finance/CFO
Robert Trippe has served as Chief Financial Officer of American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) since April 1991, overseeing all accounting, finance, treasury, and credit activities.
Before joining AMP, he served with Ernst & Young in Kansas City, where he became involved in public utility work. Trippe went on to work for Detroit Edison, serving as Director of Corporate Accounting. He served as Chief Financial Officer for Detroit Edison’s diversified operations from 1984 to 1991.
He has been involved in issuing securities for power plant construction his entire career. Since 2008, AMP has issued over $5 billion bonds and other financial arrangements to construct or acquire generating facilities.
Trippe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Missouri State University.
